FlashBack On NYSC in Kogi State

I was elated when i went through my mails and got a lot of encouraging words and responses to my mail from some of my viewers, I just want to say: a very big thank you, I appreciate it. Do watch out for the "Flashback on NYSC in Kogi State" next week; a summary of the last Community Development project carried out by the Foundation in Lokoja, Kogi State. Thank you.

But before then, let me tell you a bit about the state - Kogi, which is being presenlty governed by his execellency Alhaji Ibrahim Idris. Kogi is a state in the north-central zone of Nigeria. It is popularly called the confluence state due to the fact that the confluence of Rivers Niger and Benue occurs there. Its capital is Lokoja. There are three main ethnic groups in Kogi: Igala, Ebira, and Okun; with the Igalas being the largest ethnic group in the state. There are many mineral resources in Kogi, including iron, petroleum and tin.

The state was formed in 1991 from parts of Benue State and Kwara State. Among its many languages are the:

Ø Kakanda spoken by the Kogi LGA
Ø Kupa spoken by the people in Kogi LGA, around Abugi (52 villages)
Ø Ebira spoken by the people in Kogi LGA
Ø Bassa spoken by the people of Bassa LGA's
Ø Igala spoken by the Ankpa, Idah, Dekina, and Bassa LGA's
Ø Nupe-Nupe Tako spoken by Kogi LGA
Ø Oko-Eni-Osayen spoken by the Okene LGA, Ogori and Magongo towns, ten miles south southwest of Okene
Ø Yoruba spoken by the Western LGA's of Kogi State

et cetera.

Please, I Need Your Advise

Some few days back, I was in my room and I discovered that i have a whole lot of wears, shoes, property etc that i do not use any longer because God has been gracious to me indeed, making it possible for me to have a change of wardrobe and all. Thus, i find some of these items unuseful to me again me. I can't really say they are disposables because they can be re-used by some people out there who are in need. Hence, an idea struck my mind: "how about having a repository for such items? Get in contact with people of a willing heart to give such and thereafter take it to the less priviledged ones ". I thought of this for a while but my fear is how achievable is this. Will people be reasonable enough to let go some of their stuffs. I don't really know, but i've been thinking about it and i pray to God for direction.

Pls, I'll greatly appreciate your suggestions, comments, advise and not forgetting your prayers.

Thanks.
